    SECTION - L - ZONE CONVENOR'S DUTIES


    ZONE CONVENOR'S DUTIES


    Each Zone convenor is the T.&N.O.C.A. representative in all curling matters in his specific Zone.

    Ensures that each curling club in his Zone pays it's yearly per sheet assessment on an accurate basis and that all Zone competitor fees are collected.

    Collects the appropriate Zone Fees and issues Competitor Cards prior to the start of the Zone competition.

    Holds an organization meeting with all clubs in his Zone each spring in order to determine the dates and location of the Zone playdowns for all events.

    Represents his Zone at the annual meeting. If unable to attend, an alternate should be choosen to represent his Zone.

    Encourage all clubs in his Zone to send delegates to the annual meeting of the Association.

    Liaison closely with all clubs in his Zone to ensure that the Zone playdowns are conducted on an equitable and organized basis and completed on time.

    Each Zone convenor is responsible to notify the Chairman of the individual events, the clubs hosting the Association playdowns and the Secretary-Treasurer of the Association of all Zone winners.

    The Zone convenor is the playdown chairman for any Zone playdowns held in his Zone.

    Where a club chairman is designated for a playdown, the Zone convenor still assumes the responsibility and is accountable to the Association. (It is the intent that the Zone convenor who is knowledgeable of the Association's requirements ensures consistency in the hosting these playdowns).
    The Zone convenor is to prepare and present to the annual meeting of the Association a complete report of all the activities in his Zone during the past curling season.
    A copy of this report must be submitted to the Secretary-Treasurer.
