    OFFICIAL DRAW

    Zone Playdown regulations

1.- All C.C.A. and T.&.N.O.C.A. rules and regulations apply where appropriate.
( see Sections O & P of the Rules and Quick Facts )

2.- Each player must have a valid C.C.A. participant card and be prepared to show said card prior to the commencement of the playdowns.

3.- The Zone playdown competition fees (as outlined in Section D of The Rules and Quick Facts) must be paid to the Zone Chairman or his delegate before any competitor steps on the ice.

4.- All the names of the competing teams in the playdowns must be in the hands of the Zone Chairman by 10:00 p.m. on the Monday prior to the playdowns.
Failure to submit the names on time may lead to the disqualification of the team(s) involved.
This decision will be up to the discretion of the Zone Chairman and the Association Executive.

5.- Where the playdown is designated as a double or triple knock-out, the teams from the same club will not face each other for the first draw.

6.- Where the playdown is designated as a round robin, the teams from the same club will face each other first, unless one of the teams draws the bye. Otherwise, all selection is at random.

7.- The draw format will be dictated by the number of teams in the competition and will be conducted as outlined in regulation (9) below.
Where there is an uneven draw, one team's name is drawn from a hat
(by members of the host clubs executive) on the Wednesday prior to the competition in order to ensure that out of town teams do not have to travel unnecessarily should they be the team drawing the bye for the first game.
